Ádám Rajczy and I have been playing together since 2005. Our music history comes from the same root as we both had first graduated at the Music College in Gyor (teacher: Ede Roth), and later in 2007 at the Franz Liszt Music Academy, Budapest (Major teacher: Jozsef Eotvos; Chamber music teacher: Geza Hargitai, member of Bartok String Quartet). We are both teachers at Pal Jardanyi Music School in
Budapest.
Our similar way of thinking and identical goals as well as several successful concerts together made us decide to start a long term co-operation. Thus from January, 2007 on we took the name of Guitardual as the perfect symbol of their musical, mental and spiritual harmony.
We have diverse plans.
On the one hand we wish to enlarge the list of compositions played by guitars, therefore we work out transcripts of both popular pieces and rarities. We carefully select works of every period in our repertoire like Scarlatti, Vivaldi, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Chopin, Granados, Debussy, de Falla, Bartók, Kováts Barna, etc, included some of our own compositions.
On the other hand we would like to introduce to and make people like classical music by playing such intimate and popular instruments like guitars. Many in the reserved and unfriendly ambiance become unsociable and lonely having trifling conversations. They are afraid to express deep sentiment and they have a running life. We strongly believe that the large sentimental scale of the classical music, its suggestivity as well as its message can help people to become more open and sensitive, it can open the closed doors. Listening to this music they can relax. We wish to express that, unlike many think, classical music is liveful and joyful that can touch every one.
